We All Go Together

Unconference: We All Go Together
AVACA Barham Park Studios, HA0 2HB
Saturday 29th March ~ 11am-4pm
Free – Sign up

As part of Return To Dreamphone, you are cordially invited to join a branching conversation exploring collective action, community forming and play. This is a space to share ideas – practical and fantastical – about how we live and how we can go together better.

We All Go Together is a relaxed unconference* to share experience and grow our communal knowledge. This means, there is no set programme structure, and everyone who attends is invited to speak or run a discussion if they wish.

Sessions are 20 minutes and you can run a session on whatever you want. Present a question you want to delve into, share a project you are working on, play a game, lead a walk, give gardening tips. It’s an opportunity to widen our knowledge pools in unexpected ways.

It’s intentionally informal and low tech. There’s no need for powerpoint presentations, or complicated props. This is a space to share on equal footing and to open up new conversations.

*Inspired by the unconference format – particularly Jo Summers’ Underdeveloped and Mattie Brice’s Lost Levels – and Valentina Karga’s Gigantic Jelly Blob.

What will happen?

On arrival you can propose a session. Everything will be added to the programme (as long as there’s time). There’ll be a board with index cards ready, that will form the schedule. Anyone who wants to talk can fill in their talk title and add it to a slot. There’ll be someone on hand to help guide you through this too.

There will be two or three session tracks running at the same time depending on numbers. Everyone is free to move between them whenever and however they like. There is no expectation to stay at a particular talk/activity for the whole time and nobody will judge you for switching between talks. The idea is to create an inclusive environment and to allow all participants to have the best time possible, taking in sessions that inspire and enrich.

We’ll wrap up with one short session together to share thoughts from the day.
