TS #3: Memory Garden

“No matter when you arrive, we walk together.”

Tamagotchi Seance #3: Memory Garden is a gentle narrative game and an ambient multiplayer space. Hinting at physical memorial sites, old school forums and digital pets as boundary objects, TS#3 invites players to explore the ruins of a digital garden. Through leaving messages, the space shifts and grows into something new. Each message seeds a plant, and as messages grow, so does the plant-life in the space.

Part of Memory Garden exists as a series of physical urns. Each one is its own webserver, housing a poetic text looking at loss and memory in digital spaces. After reading, the player is invited to leave a message in response, which is displayed on an e-ink plaque on each object. The messages remain until replaced by another, slowly changing the memorial landscape of the space over time.

Tamagotchi Seance #3 was developed during Nick’s time as the Winter Resident at Pervasive Media Studio, Bristol.

The piece has been shown at House Party (Watershed, Bristol 2026) Strange Play (London Games Festival 2026) and Voidspace Live (London, 2026).

It got mentioned in a feature in Edge Magazine which you can read here.
