I was watching a version of Waiting For Godot recently. Because it was a text I had to study at school, it’s indelibly imprinted on my memory. I think about it every so often. We’re in lockdown 2.0, which means I’m watching more media again and want to make sure it’s not just episodes of Frasier. I found a production staged in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina. Due to performance copyright and stuff, it’s basically a bootleg, which in itself is a really interesting way to watch a piece of theatre. It also stars Wendell Pierce at Vladimir! Anyway, I was thinking about the play and wanted to make something to play with the nature of waiting. Thus the Waiting For Godot Simulator was born! You can play it here.
